Cookie policy
This page describes the cookies and similar local-storage mechanisms used by devbuildstudio.com. We have kept the list short on purpose — this site runs no advertising and no third-party analytics by default. If you accept the optional cookie, one privacy-respecting first-party counter is set.
§ 1 What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. The same applies to entries in your browser's localStorage. Both can be cleared at any time via your browser settings. We refer to both collectively as "cookies" below.
§ 2 Cookies we use
Strictly necessary — no consent required
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Session identifier — required for the contact form CSRF token and the package builder. | Browser session | devbuildstudio.com (first-party) |
| dbs_consent (localStorage) | Remembers your cookie banner choice so we do not show it again. | Until you clear browser storage | devbuildstudio.com (first-party) |
Optional — consent required (set only if you accept the banner)
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| dbs_pv (first-party) | Anonymous page-view counter. Stores a random ID with no link to identity. Used for aggregate traffic numbers. | 30 days | devbuildstudio.com (first-party) |
§ 3 What we do not use
We do not load: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, X (Twitter) tag, Hotjar, FullStory, Crazy Egg, Microsoft Clarity, advertising cookies, or any other third-party tracker. We do not run retargeting campaigns. There is no "consent management platform" because there is nothing to manage beyond the table above.
§ 4 Stripe
The package builder posts to Stripe Checkout. Stripe is hosted on a separate domain (checkout.stripe.com) and sets its own cookies for fraud prevention. Those cookies are described in Stripe's cookie settings. We do not set Stripe cookies on devbuildstudio.com directly.
§ 5 Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's storage for devbuildstudio.com and reloading the page — the banner will reappear. You can also block cookies at the browser level; the site will still work, except the contact form (which requires the session cookie for CSRF protection).
§ 6 Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update the table above and bump the version stamp at the top of the page.
